2. Hosting & Server Log Files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider may automatically record technical access information in server log files — typically including the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of access, the page or file requested, browser type, operating system, and the referring page.
This data is used solely for the technical and secure operation of the website, is not merged with any other data sources, and is retained only for as long as necessary for this purpose, in line with our hosting provider's standard practice.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website.
3. Language Preference (Local Storage)
This website stores your selected language (English or German) in your browser's local storage so that your preference is remembered on your next visit. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This storage is technically necessary within the meaning of § 25(2) TDDDG — no consent is required, as it is limited to providing a service you have actively requested.
4. Contact Form (Google Forms)
When you submit an enquiry using the contact form on this website, the data you enter (name, email address, phone number, information about your pet and planned journey, and any additional notes) is submitted directly via Google Forms and processed by Google Ireland Limited (and its parent company, Google LLC, USA) as part of operating that service.
This means your enquiry may be processed on servers located outside the European Economic Area. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
The data you submit is used solely to handle your enquiry and — if a contract is entered into — to carry out the service. Beyond Google as the technical provider of the form, data is not passed on to further third parties unless required to fulfil the contract (e.g. partner agents at the destination).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Retention: Enquiries are stored for as long as necessary to process them, and at minimum for the duration of any applicable statutory retention periods.
5. Social Media & Messaging Links
This website contains plain hyperlinks to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Clicking one of these links opens the respective app or website. No data is transmitted to these services beforehand, and this site does not embed any tracking pixels, "Like" buttons, or other widgets from these platforms — nothing happens until you actively click a link.
Once you follow a link, the connection and any further communication are governed entirely by that platform's own privacy policy:
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): privacycenter.instagram.com/policy
- Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): facebook.com/privacy/policy
- LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company): linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
TRAVERSE has no influence over the data processing carried out by these platforms. Use of these links is entirely voluntary and initiated solely by the user.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent given by actively clicking a link.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data processed by TRAVERSE:

You may request information about your personal data we process (Art. 15 GDPR).
